It has been a little while since we have heard anything about Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi. It seemed like this couple spent the majority of last year dealing with all sorts of rumors. Supposedly De Rossi spent a month in rehab and we heard about everything from an impending divorce to the possibility of having a baby. Obviously, none of things ever materialized and instead De Rossi returned to television. We're now hearing that DeGeneres' talk show contract is up and her wife is really pushing her to pull the plug on it rather than sign on to do more shows.
According to a report by Radar Online, "Ellen's contract is up in 2017 and she has told her staff that she does not know if she is going to renew it. Everyone on the staff is just freaking out over this. When Portia comes into the studio lately, she is not as nice to everyone as she used to be. She seems to really resent the show and everyone who works there. Ellen does not need to do the show anymore because she has more money than God and Portia told her that she has already interviewed everyone there is to interview and the act just seems to be getting old," explains an insider.
While it's true that DeGeneres has interviewed just about everyone under the sun, do you think that she feels ready to pack in her successful talk show? Also, if De Rossi wants her around to focus more on their relationship that could be tricky, especially since her own schedule on Scandal just got busier as she is now a regular series character.
