Kelly Clarkson may be known for her family-friendly adult contemporary hits, like "Heartbeat Song" and the new single "Invincible," but you may not want to mess with KC. Today (June 4), the OG American Idol went into the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, and she rocked out with a cover of Rihanna's fierce R8 single "B*tch Better Have My Money."

Right off the top, it's clear that this cover is going to be completely different, with a piano backing giving the fiery hit a jazzy feel that would be appropriate for a lounge. Clarkson also brought out her country roots by replacing Rihanna's more gangster "b*tch better have my money" to the sweeter "y'all better have my mon-ayy."

Just because the lyrics may be a little safer for work, that doesn't mean Clarkson's spin on Rihanna has any less sass or bite to it. She nails the vocal with impressive runs and still has more than enough confidence to spare.

"Turn it to KC and now the whole club's getting crazy," Clarkson riffs in the second verse, seamlessly finding herself in Rihanna's high heeled shoes.
