If you were a big fan of Foo Fighters' cross country exploration and new album Sonic Highways, get excited. In a new interview, frontman Dave Grohl announced that he and his band will be working on another season of the HBO documentary and that it may or may not be centered around the U.K.

In a new interview with NME, Grohl confirmed Sonic Highways 2, but he was a little more elusive on the actual details of the project. "There is gonna be another Sonic Highways season," Grohl declared bluntly before getting a little cheekier. "It might or might not be international. It might someday be international. It might only be England or be England and other places or maybe it's places in America and people from other countries that are inspired by these places in America."

However, he later admitted that England and the U.K. has "so f*cking much" material for a new season. He likened doing the documentary in Britain as "shooting fish in a barrel."

It somehow even seems as though Grohl himself isn't quite sure where Sonic Highways 2 will take him, but he's confident that the idea is a good one (even if critical reviews of the resulting Sonic Highways album were mixed).

"The great thing about this idea is that it could really be anywhere because every city has its own musical history," he said. However, he also admitted that the actual work into releasing an album, TV documentary series followed by a series of national and international tours can be exhausting. So, a date for Sonic Highways 2 can be pretty far away.
