Taylor Swift has responded to rumors that "New Romantics," one of the three bonus tracks from the deluxe version of 1989, would also be the next single for the performer. Apparently a fan story on Tumblr suggested that Swift had recently wrapped up filming a music video for the track.

"Why? Where? Who? How?," Swift posted. "I don't even know what the next single is yet!! Let's all take deep breaths in and out and watch Bad Blood again on Vevo."

Considering how low-pressure this news bit is, your correspondent has no problem with feeding into the hype: Swift came across as awfully excited in her denials here. Granted, it doesn't take that long for someone to turn around a music video nowadays, but considering the epic nature of Swift's most recent clips, we wouldn't be surprised if she had already begun work on the next entry in her videography. Note as well how the performer pushed her fans back toward the current single "Bad Blood."

Looking at the popularity that "Bad Blood" has continued to build, we can't blame Swift at all for sitting back and relaxing for a bit. The clip broke the record for most views within a 24-hour period when 20.1 million tuned in for its debut. She'll let that song run its course before she drops another single.

But there will be another single.

The album placed at no. 2 on the Billboard 200 last week, and has stuck in the Top 10 for its first 32 weeks of release. As long as people are buying the record, Swift will keep on dropping singles. Our guess for the next one? "New Romantics"...just don't ask how long it will be before she makes it official.
