A week after first premiering the track on a Bank of America commercial during the Super Bowl, U2 has released the music video for "Invisible" off their upcoming studio album. The Mark Romanek-directed video is shot completely in back and white.

It features the four-piece performing live in front of a hyped-up audience. Bono sings into a hangdown mic while the rest of the band jams in front of a visual effects screen.

According to Billboard, the video was shot in a Santa Monica airport hangar over a three-day period in January. Proceeds from the song benefited the band's partner (RED), which helps fight HIV/AIDS in Africa. They raised more than $3 million with the song upon its premiere and subsequent one-day free download period on iTunes after the Super Bowl.

As the article states, it was the first collaboration between U2 and Romanek, who is known for his work on Jay Z's "99 Problems," Johnny Cash's "Hurt," among others. The song also helped the band make chart history last week, reclaiming the mark for most songs placed on the Alternative Songs chart (39), beating out Pearl Jam.
