It has been over a year since Gucci Mane was sentenced to prison for violating parole stemming from a firearm possession charge. Musically, Guwop has not missed a beat, releasing albums and mixtapes as if he had a home studio in his jail cell. Gucci isn't scheduled to be released from prison until late in 2016, but the #FREEGUWOP movement has been in full voice recently and signs point the Atlanta rapper possibly getting an early release.

Lil Bankhead, DJ for Atlanta's Streetz 94.5, shared a photo on Instagram with the caption "JULY 11 MY HOMIE BACK IN THE STREETS SAULTE." We have not had any official confirmation from the Gucci Mane camp or the prison, but if it is true, this would be some of the best news Atlanta hip-hop all year.

Bankhead is not the first individual to come out and say that Gucci is getting ready to be released soon. In March, Peewee Longway, a frequent collaborator of Guwop's, told Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9 in an interview that Mane would be released "in a couple months."

Mike WILL Made It recently posted a picture on Instagram two weeks ago that Gucci was getting ready to be released and he would know the date at the end of the month. Bankhead may have just spilled the beans on when Mane could be coming home. Until we get final confirmation this is all speculation, but Gucci is still thinking about the streets with a new mixtape titled Trapology, which will be released on July 1, recognizing Albert Einstein's contributions to the world.
