Rocklahoma, one of the largest strictly-rock festivals in the United States, announced its 2014 lineup on Wednesday. Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch and Staind are listed as the headliners for the three-day festival. This will be the fifth installation of Rocklahoma. It will take place May 23, 24 and 25 in its usual home of Pryor, OK.

This year's lineup seems to place an unusual emphasis on '80s heavy/glam metal. Twisted Sister, Jackyl, Skid Row and Tom Keifer (vocalist and guitarist for Cinderella) will all be making appearances. Motorhead represents '70s heavy metal. Joe Litvag, a co-executive producer from AEG, seemed to suggest this was part of the plan.

"I initially questioned whether or not we would be able to top last year's Rocklahoma lineup this time around," he said.  "But with some of the biggest names in the rock world today like Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Seether and Deftones playing alongside Rocklahoma legends like Twisted Sister, Jackyl, Tom Kiefer of Cinderella and Kix, there is not a doubt in my mind that we just raised the bar."

That might be a stretch. Last year's event featured appearances from Alice in Chains, Korn, and the Guns 'n' Roses (which is a bit more of a headliner than the '80s rockers representing at this year's event). Still, it's about as good a hard rock lineup to be found on the festival scene outside of Ohio's Rock on The Range, so we shouldn't complain.

Tickets for this year's festival go on sale Friday, February 14.
