As a Grammy-award winning artist, Mandisa seems to be living the dream. She has it all - the dream career, the fame, the fortune, the adoration ... But for the past few years, she has longed for the one thing that she doesn't have - a husband to share it with. Valentine's week was a struggle that she referred to as "Single Awareness Week" until she started looking at her singleness from God's perspective. Once she did that, she says, she "stopped sulking, asking, 'why not me,' and considering myself as incomplete because I was not married."

She wrote and recorded "Praying for You" with her friend Chris August. The song is for her future husband. She prays specifically for for "Mr. Right" while working on becoming a "Mrs. Right" for her future mate. She now celebrates this stage in her life while she waits for God to bring her the man of her dreams - the man that He created just for her.

As she celebrates what she now calls "Single Appreciation Week," she invites her female fans (both single and married) to join her and share advice with each other.

  • Day 1 - Learning to celebrate being single
  • Day 2 - Honoring your future spouse and our Heavenly Father during your season of singleness (and meeting Jaime Jamgochian)
  • Day 3 - Melinda Doolittle shares the story behind her song, "Never Giving Up"
  • Day 4 - Wisdom - Mandisa asks her married friends to share what they would say to their single selves if they could go back. She invites fans to share their thoughts on the advice as well as their own advice they would give to themselves before marrying.
  • Tomorrow, on Valentine's Day, Mandisa will celebrate the big day. Check out her blog tomorrow to see how.
