Gucci Mane has been locked up for some time now but surprisingly, he hasn't missed a beat. On Thursday (July 2), he released his Trapology mixtape and announced The Stars of the Trap tour.

Despite his current incarceration, a tweet was sent from Gucci's Twitter account announcing that the "Lemonade" rapper would tour 20 cities along with some friends.

No word on who GuWop will hit the road with but it makes for exciting news as fans also anticipate Gucci's release from prison.

Last month, reports hit the net indicating that Gucci would complete his bid and would be released on July 11. His lawyer, Drew Findling, shot down speculation, telling MTV News that the recent update was not true.

"We do not know where that rumor came from, so that's just Internet and social media fabrication," Findling said. "We have no idea where that release date came from because we're still in the midst of resolving things with the Bureau of Prisons. There was some confusion on their part, about his release date."

Although Findling did not deny that Gucci may be granted an early release, he confirmed the rapper will not be coming home in July. Gucci Mane has been incarcerated since September 2013.

The Trap God's latest project includes the previously released cut "Born With It" featuring Soulja Boy along with guest spots by Fetty Wap and Snoop Dogg. He also released his King Gucci mixtape in May.
