Apple Music launched on June 30 and in the first week, the service is still working out some of the kinks, but one aspect of it that fans and critics have viewed positively thus far the Zane Lowe-led Beats 1 radio station, which is clearly modeled in name and format after BBC Radio One. They have also adopted another feature that we hope to see continued going forward—the One Mix—which invites DJs to spin a special one-hour set on Beats 1. The first guest invited up to the controls this past weekend on July 4 was Eric Prydz, who spun some very memorable Essential Mixes for Pete Tong at the BBC and had several tracks premiered by Zane Lowe as the Hottest Record in the World as well. Prydz did not hold back with a 10-track playlist consisting of nine of his own songs, eight of which have not been released yet.

He started things off with "Opus," which has been gathering a lot of buzz recently since it was officially unveiled at EDC Las Vegas two weeks ago. He then eases his way through other unreleased tunes, but not before rinsing out his recently released single "Generate."

The mix comes just as the Swedish producer kicks off his most ambitious release schedule to date, unveiled a new four-track EP each month over the next three, capping off with a new artist album of Prydz music. The first wave of music from PR(10)DA arrives today and fans could not be more excited considering how sparsely he shares new finished music.
