Sitting atop the elaborate guitar throne he designed himself, Dave Grohl called up yet another fan on stage. This time, an 18-year-old birthday boy jumped up to salute the band and man the drum kit for a performance of "Big Me."

Anthony Bifolchi was welcomed to the stage after Grohl spotted his self-made sign, which asked "It's my birthday, can I play drums?" The front man decided to gave the drummer boy a crack at it, but also forewarned him, "If you suck on the drums, I will personally tar and feather you're ass backstage."

Bifolchi requested to play the band's hit single, "Best of You," in which Grohl replied, "That's the last one we're gonna play tonight, ding dong!" The 46-year-old former Nirvana drummer then initiated a rendition of 1995 track, "Big Me," off of their self-titled debut LP. Cautioning the young fan once more, he said in the clip below, "It's the easiest one. If you f-ck this up, you're gonna look like a total f-cking assh-le."

Regardless of Grohl's menaces and almost wrapping the song up prematurely, Bifolchi strongly carried out the track and finished with a verbose drum fill. After the birthday wish come true, Bifolchi took to Reddit to answer questions about his impromptu performance with the Foo, reports Rolling Stone.

"I was just thinking, 'Don't drop your stick. Please don't drop your stick.' Thank god I didn't," he wrote.

The Foo Fighters will remain on tour to support their 2014 LP, Sonic Highways, through the summer and fall. After Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg, the band was forced to nix a few European tour dates including their Glastonbury headliner which was taken over by Florence and the Machine. Despite the nasty fall, the Foo Fighters refused to miss their 20th anniversary show in Washington--the gig which debuted his guitar neck-ridden, well lit throne.
