Rapper Future exclusively spoke to Hot 97 Listening lounge filled with fans in an intimate setting at New York City's hot spot, SOB's for his album Dirty Sprite 2.

While making his rounds after appearing absent in Urban music for some time, with the exceptions of some collaborations, the rapper admitted that he wasn't where he wanted to be in his music career as he thought he should be by now.

After listing several of his number one songs on Urban Radio that never received any nomination nods, including songs he wrote for Rihanna, Miley Cyrus and Ciara. Although frustrated, he explained, "I'm work for it until I get what I want from it."

After playing some singles from his album, Future was asked about his broken relationship with singer and former fiancé, Ciara. The celebrity denied that he broke up with the "I Bet" singer, instead saying that he just called off the wedding after some disagreements on the direction of the actual wedding planning.

"It wasn't frustrating but at the time I didn't want people getting what they got from it because I'm speaking on it or because it's a publicity stunt because I'm not for publicity. I got this far because of me, everyone in this room, they came for me. They didn't come for my relationship thing. That's the best part about it. I didn't want people to overlook all my hard work just because of something that I had."

He explained, "I never said I wasn't ready. Because if y'all had to come to my wedding, I don't know anyone in this room. I don't want cameras at my wedding, I want my real family there. Besides that, we done past it. It's over."
