Demi Lovato and boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama are deeply in love, but that doesn't mean that the "Cool for the Summer" singer and her beau will be tying the knot anytime soon. In a new interview, the 22-year-old pop star opened up about her, at times, controversial relationship with the former That '70s Show actor and even admitted that she's open to getting engaged and would marry him if he asked.

In an interview with New Zealand radio show ZM, Lovato admitted that she's still smitten with Valderrama after five years together and that while the couple is planning on waiting to get married, she would still say yes if asked.

"I am very, very in love with him," she admitted. "I think we'll probably wait a little bit longer, but if he asked tomorrow, I'd say yes."

Though they've settled into a comfortable relationship now, Lovato noted that wasn't always the case. When they first started dating, their 13-year age gap raised quite a few eyebrows.

"I was 18 and he was 30 so people were definitely judgmental and even my parents were kind of, 'Why is someone his age wanting to date someone so young?'" Lovato said. "And after a while everyone around us started to see that what we have was real and incredible and very special, and we've been together ever since. Obviously my family loves him. People kind of stop doing that because you can see when we're together or even just from our Instagrams that we're very sweet to one another."

Valderrama has notably been by Lovato's side as she struggled with addiction and an eating disorder. She credits him with helping her overcome her body issues, even noting earlier this week that he loves all of her curves.
