Demi Lovato's new single may be called "Cool for the Summer," but the new music video is nothing but hot. After plenty of teases, today (July 23) the anticipated visual for Lovato's new song made its debut and it has enough sexy action that you may not want to tell your mother.

The music video for "Cool for the Summer" is filled with every kind of hot summer excess. Lovato, wearing a skimpy bikini, rides with her friends in a convertible before pulling up to a warehouse party. From there, the party takes a lusty turn with everyone from girls and girls to boys and boys making out with each other, surrounding Lovato, who only alludes to her own desires.

But that doesn't mean she isn't showing off her sexuality as the focus. There are plenty of scandalous outfits and rolling around on a feathered bed. It seems as though "Cool for the Summer" is bringing in a new era of Lovato's career.

"Cool for the Summer" is the first single from Lovato's new album and the follow-up to her 2013 effort DEMI. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest earlier this month, the 22-year-old pop star admitted that her new album will follow this song's precedent with sexier, rock-fueled tunes.

"There's a side of [me] that people don't get to see with my past music, but it's been there," she said. "It's totally been there. And like hey, just because I'm sober doesn't mean that I'm judging anybody else for their stuff. And also, it also doesn't mean I didn't have a damn good time back then either. I'm having a good time sober - a better time for sure." She also admitted that she's "done with like the sob stories and the tales."

Lovato's new album has yet to receive official details.
