Foo Fighters are known to be pretty good to their fans--bringing lucky concertgoers on stage and even resuming touring after Dave Grohl fell off stage and sustained leg injuries. This time, the band is giving back to a gathering of 1000 fans who simultaneously played hit song "Learning to Fly" in northern Italy.

A video recently circulated the Internet of drummers, singers and guitarists alike jamming to the 1999 Foo track in Cesena, Billboard reports. The joint performance was part of a campaign to lure Grohl and company to their area for a gig. After coming across the video, Foo Fighters took to Twitter to post Italian messages, translated to "How nice, Cesena" and "See you soon," suggesting the band would make its way to Italy for a show. This isn't the first fan campaign to work, however. A petition was previously conjured in Virgina, eventually resulting in a Foo Fighters concert.

As of late, the former Nirvana drummer has described his overwhelming happiness for Florence and the Machine taking over his group's Glastonbury headliner following his injury. After falling off stage in Sweden, the Foo were forced to pull out of the lineup, creating space for Florence Welsh.

In a recent interview, Grohl admits just how moved he was when they covered "Times Like These" during their Glastonbury set. "The day after the gig, someone sent me a link to the performance and I cried like a f*cking baby. It melted my f*cking heart. I am forever indebted to them. It meant so much, you have no idea," he gushed.

Foo Fighters will make way back to the UK for a series of replacement gigs later in the year. They'll also stop by Milton Keynes Bowl on September 5 and 6 with the support of Iggy Pop and play Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on September 8 with the assistance of Royal Blood and Honeyblood.
