Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand plan to hit the road with synth pop duo Sparks under the moniker FFS. In the wake of the successful reception of their collaborative self-titled debut, which was released in June, the dynamic "super group" shared details about their fall tour earlier this week. Both known for crafting contagiously dancey anthems, FFS's forthcoming handful of North American tour dates are bound to increase their already vibrant following.

It's been years since Franz Ferdinand's break out hit "Take Me Out" and "This Fire" dominated the airwaves, yet their reputation for stunning crowds with their onstage antics and keeping listeners captivated persists.

Much like Sparks, the Glasgow outfit has a penchant for memorable hooks and backbeats while Sparks, whose career began in the '70s, have similarly kept listeners engaged with celebrated releases like Lil' Beethoven and The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman. It isn't difficult to see why the two act's combined efforts as FFS have been applauded with such fervor.

Kicking things off in Toronto, FFS plans to grace the stage in a number of major cities including Boston, Philadelphia, New York, and Denver. One can only wonder if the group's imminent tour is the preface to a sophomore release.
