Violinist Owen Pallett Worries Oscar Win for Best Original Score (with Arcade Fire, for Spike Jonze's 'her') Will Kill Canada's Indie Cred

Recently, Classicalite published a post on Oscar nominees Owen Pallett and Arcade Fire for their score to Spike Jonze's (also nominated) her.

The future sex love tale premiered original songs from the Fire and Pallett, brilliantly fitting their music to Jonze's film.

A proper Canadian, Pallett did not receive the information well, feeling a bit unnerved by the news and terrified of becoming, quote, "the most overrated Canadian in the eyes of Canadians."

And yet, with the Oscars right around the corner, the musician can't escape the impending ceremony and the little gold man that he may ever so subtly yearn for.
