Carly Rae Jepsen's new album EMOTION is now just one week again. And in her typical tradition of giving fans a sneak peak of what's to come, today (Aug. 14), she dropped another new song, "Your Type."

Following the precedent set by her other glistening tracks such as "Run Away With Me" and "Warm Blood," Jepsen's newest single retains the shimmering pure pop that she's perfected with each EMOTION release with lyrics that are slightly more vulnerable than we've previously heard from her.

Jepsen pines for an unrequited love in "Your Type," "I used to be in love with you / You use to be the first thing on my mind / I know I'm just a friend to you / That I will never get to call you mine," she sings in the opening verse.

Despite lyrics that lean toward the depressive, Jepsen keeps the music engaging and almost sunny throughout the entirety of "Your Type." It seems redundant to say week after week, but Jepsen's sophomore album is looking to be one of the great pop gems of 2015.

"Your Type" is just the latest song to be rolled out from Jepsen's new album EMOTION. It follows the release of lead single "I Really Like You" as well as "All That," "Emotion," "Run Away With Me," "Warm Blood" and "Making the Most of the Night."

EMOTION will finally be released in the U.S. on Friday, Aug. 21. It follows the release of Jepsen's breakout album, 2013's Kiss.
