Following the inevitable news that the iconic progressive and psychedelic rock band, Pink Floyd, is officially through, David Gilmour has trudged on with his solo career, teasing "5 A.M," the opening track of his latest album, Rattle That Lock. Along with the sneak peak, the guitarist unveiled an unboxing video just over a month ahead of the album's official September 18 release.

Based on the video, "5 A.M." is a brooding track, highlighting similar sounds found in "Shine on You Crazy Diamond." The former Pink Floyd guitarist showcases his knack to generate emotion with a few bluesy strikes of his Fender Stratocaster. Set to "Rattle That Lock," the unboxing video details the wide-range of available record formats. Vinyl collectors will receive a 16-page lyric book along with pictures taken by Gilmour's wife, Polly Samson, and collaborator Kevin Westenberg, UltimateClassicRock reports.

The deluxe, two-disc edition includes a poster, postcard, guitar pick, documentary and video-ridden DVD and two hardcover books: a copy of Rattle That Lock's inspiration, John Milton's Paradise Lost (Book II), as well as a 32-page expansion of the book incorporated in the vinyl package.

Rattle That Lock is the 69-year-old musician's first solo venture since his 2006 album titled On An Island. Next month, he'll embark on a European tour in which he'll play a week's worth of gigs before tackling shows over in the United States in the spring of 2016. The album's first single and title track came out three weeks ago, boasting specially crafted background vocals from Liberty Choir, a prison group made up of inmates from London's Wandsworth Prison.
