One of the most hilarious stories written about and reported upon in the past 48 hours - the rise of presidential candidate Deez Nuts has a new side to this incredible tale. The originator of the term "Deez Nuts" is American rapper Warren G, who first used it in an impromptu skit on Dr. Dre's The Chronic, has endorsed the candidate in his pursuit of becoming the Commander-in-Chief.
Deez Nuts can't actually become president because he is a 15-year old high school named Brady Olson from Wallington, Iowa, but that isn't stopping Mr. Regulate from backing the candidate.
Speaking to the Daily Beast, Warren G is shocked that his balls joke still has legs on it two decades later.
"I was blown away to see something I did as a skit on there. It tripped me out. It really, really, really was a trip," he says. "And to know that it came from a 15-year-old kid who's a fan..."
He is willing to take the skit all the way to the White House and wants to be on Olsen's ticket as his Vice President.
"If he wanted me to, I'd ride with him until the wheels fall off," he says. "Who better than me? I'm ready. Let's go."
Warren G has a few ideas he wants to bring to the White House - if elected. He would like to bring Weed Wednesdays to help "relax from all the stress." Deez Nuts' libertarian platform may just get on board with Warren on that point.
The rapper also wants comprehensive prison reform and better education, which he believes will go hand in hand.
"These people going to jail for life for bullsh*t. You maybe stole a bag of chips (on your third strike) and get jail for life. Let's start providing better schools so they can learn and get a job so they don't have to steal."
The term Deez Nuts became popular once again by Instagram user WelvenDaGreat, which quickly spread into a viral meme and vine.
The phrase has become so big that it is now part of the looooong 2016 presidential campaign and helped provide Americans some comedic value to an otherwise drab and repetitive polticial cycle. Deez Nuts' campaign became popular after polling at 9 perfect in North Carolina, along with 8 percent in Minnesota and 7 percent in Iowa according to Public Policy Polling.
Here's to putting Deez Nuts and Warren G in the White House.
