Headliner at this year's FYF Festival and recent guest on Larry King Now, Steven Patrick Morrissey, fondly known as Moz by his adoring fans, used the stage as a bully pulpit and pleaded his audience to not vote for Donald Trump in the forthcoming US Presidential election. Recently causing a stir in the blogosphere after sharing his thoughts on the current state of the GOP with Larry King, the former front man of the iconic 1980s outfit The Smiths opened his FYF set with the title track of The Queen Is Dead, which was later followed by "Suedehead" and "Viva Hate."

Later, the legendary singer-songwriter shared "Ganglord" from 2008's The Youngest Was The Most Loved, coupled with projected video footage of police brutality, which reportedly cause many fans distress due to the violent nature of the images according to NME.

As happens at many of his shows, overzealous fans attempted to join him on stage and were quickly apprehended by security guards who the performer verbally reprimanded. Midway through this set list, Morrissey paused to state the following: "I have a question for you, are you ready for President Trump? Please I beg you, don't."

Only time will tell if fans will heed the artist's words and opinion.

Known for taking definitively outspoken stances against political figures since his debut as a performer, the UK born icon sets to play a string of tour dates in his homeland before heading to Belgium and Germany.
