David Gilmour, guitarist of the recently split Pink Floyd, will bring new music to the forefront with his first solo album in 10 years, Rattle That Lock, due out September 18. Thus far, he's teased the impending album with the release of the title track along with a riveting animated music video. Now, the 69-year-old musician has unveiled a personal cover of the Beatles fan-favorite track, "Here, There and Everywhere."

The Revolver cover won't be featured on Rattle That Lock but instead, it'll be included in this month's issue of MOJO Magazine. Gilmour will adorn the front cover of the issue as part of the David Gilmour & Friends compilation, which boasts collaborations with Phil Manzanera, Robert Wyatt and the Orb.

Speaking with Mojo, Gilmour detailed his appreciation for the Beatles and the personal impact the famed quartet had on him as a musician. "I really wish I had been in the Beatles," Gilmour said. "[They] taught me how to play guitar; I learnt everything. The bass parts, the lead, the rhythm, everything. They were fantastic."

As Mojo notes, the On An Island singer sent the magazine his Revolver cover two years prior and after a considerable amount of convincing, he eventually allowed them to release the track. While Gilmour's version stays close to the original, he implements whispery and airy vocals alongside a mesmeric guitar solo that screams David Gilmour.

A small supporting tour for Rattle That Lock, which has seen an abundance of help from his wife Polly Samson, will kick off in 2016 making a few stops in North America. "I've got the band booked. I've got the rehearsal space booked," Gilmour told Rolling Stone of preparing for the tour. "But I haven't even started thinking about anything to do with it yet, but it's my next project."
