In just a few hours, Demi Lovato will storm the Microsoft Theater stage for her MTV Video Music Awards performance debut. The singer will take the main stage on Sunday, assuring fans of a memorable performance filled with surprises which may or may not include a special guest.

"I'm definitely bringing elements from the ["Cool For The Summer"] music video - I'm bringing elements that aren't in the music video," Demi told MTV News. "But it's definitely going to stay sexy, really fun and may or may not [have] a special guest."

If we had to guess, Lovato could potentially bring out Iggy Azalea, Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson, who recently covered Lovato's summer anthem, or maybe even her boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama?

The 23-year-old singer who's "Cool For The Summer" is nominated for Song of Summer, has previous experience with VMA performances but never on the main stage. In 2012, she commanded the VMA pre-show with a performance of "Give Your Heart A Break." Now, as she takes on a larger than life performance, Lovato explains that this moment is something she's been dreaming of and preparing for.

"I honestly was just thinking and trying to do whatever I could to get the VMA spot," she said. "So I was just training doing whatever I needed to do mentally, physically to prepare for this. ... I'm just stoked that I am playing, it's going to be amazing."

The former Sonny With A Chance star thinks "everyone is so excited" to see what Miley Cyrus has planned for the evening, admitting that she was looking to past award ceremonies and performances to gather inspiration. Cyrus plans to put fourth a "raw" and "psychadelic" experience, ABC News notes.

"[I'll be] taking elements of what I remember from my favorite VMA performances, keeping that in mind, like what did so and so do that I loved," she said. "So instead of copying or anything like that, I would say, 'That had originality or that was sexy and that was classy.'"
