It's been a bad week for NBA players and their girlfriends, or in this case, their baby mamas. First it was reported that Khloe Kardashian is being cheated on by James Harden now, reportedly Basketball Wives of LA star Laura Govan, the mother of four children with NBA player Gilbert Arenas, is getting evicted -- and it's her kids' father that's putting her out.
MTO reported that Arenas is in the process of evicting Govan and their four children and giving her a maximum of 60 days to voluntarily vacate the premises or he will move forward with asking the court for an eviction notice. Govan and her children currently occupy the home but Arenas is paying the bills which totals about $16,000 per month. The mortgage, property tax and insurance are all handled by Arenas, according to court documents, in addition to an Escalade that Govan drives but is paid for by Arenas.
So what's causing Arenas to be so angry and fed up to force his own children out? Well, maybe it has something to do with the new baby that's on the way with Lindsay Faulk, ex-wife of NFL player Marshall Faulk. Or, it could have everything to do with the bad image that Govan seems to be portraying of the father of four on social media sites.
TMZ reports that Arenas addressed Govan on Instagram saying that he's tired of people thinking that he does nothing for his kids but he understands that people only think that because Govan has been pretty convincing in painting a picture of him as "a deadbeat dad." According to the site, Arenas puts out a pretty large lump sum of money to Govan. The NBA player wrote "she gets 20k a month but if [you] read what I do then ask [yourself] what does she do with 20k ...she has to feed the kids at home, pay for gas to get them to school and pay her phone bill andddddddd that's it."
The former Shangai Sharks player says that Govan has a habit of spending all of the money that he gives her on clothes so she can take pictures for her Instagram followers. "She has 2 million dollar closet but my kids look like their bums half the damn time they get posted and I'm the #Deadbeat...."
