During a recent interview with Vlad TV, hip-hop artist and activist Talib Kweli revisited his intense interview turned argument with CNN host Don Lemon during the Ferguson riots.

In August 2014, Kweli appeared on Lemon's show as he hosted a live broadcast in Ferguson, Missouri following the shooting death of unarmed teen Mike Brown at the hands of officer Darren Wilson. The outspoken lyricist criticized the network for "doing a horrible job" on reporting what was going on and things took a turn for the worse. Throughout the few minutes of heated debate, Lemon continuously interjected and Kweli ended up calling him out for being rude to him prior to the interview.

He reflected on the ordeal in an interview published on Wednesday (Sept. 9).

"Don Lemon works for CNN," the "Get By" rapper explained. "When I went on his program, I was critical of the way that CNN was covering an event that I was at. Instead of interviewing me about why I was critical he took the position that he was going to defend CNN even though he hadn't read the article I was talking about nor was he at the event I was at. So we got into a back and forth about that. That was pretty intense."

When asked about his current relationship with the controversial anchor, Kweli offered up a few choice words saying, "I don't f*ck with Don Lemon."

Kweli previously addressed the incident in a lengthy post shared on Medium, in which he expressed regret for letting Lemon divert the conversation from the killing of Brown and the rapper's perspective of the way the situation was being handled by police.

Elsewhere in the interview Kweli shared his opinion on Minister Louis Farrakhan's assertion that rappers are the new leaders, another topic he has shed light on in former times.

Last month, Talib Kweli released a surprise album titled F*ck The Money, featuring the likes of Miguel, Ab-Soul, Styles P, Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and others. In case you missed it, take a listen here.
