New York festival-goers will have to sate their thirst for huge concerts at one of the state's other events, because Camp Bisco will be taking the year off. The annual festival, organized by electronic jam band, has taken place at the Indian Lookout Country Club outside of Albany since 1999. The organizers posted a message confirming that the event would not go down during 2014 however. They clarified that it would return for 2015 however.

"Camp Bisco is always one of the highlights of the year for us and all of our fans," read the uncomfortably optimistic statement that was released. "After much deliberation and tireless efforts to make Camp happen this year, we had to make the tough decision to take a year off. We will be coming back in 2015 with an amazing event that will cater to the needs, wants and wishes of Camp Bisco's most faithful and valued attendees!"

No one is quite sure what led to the "tough decision," and it doesn't seem like the Disco Biscuits are going to tell us. Financial problems seem unlikely considering the event's 2013 incarnation sold out. The festival has seen numerous complaints from law enforcement and residents in the area, but if organizers plan on returning next year, this explanation also seems unlikely. Hints that Camp Bisco might not happen have been evident for months, as fans noticed it hadn't applied yet for the licenses required to host such an event.

Last year's lineup reflected the mixture of electronica, hip-hop and alternative rock that Camp Bisco's become known for. Passion Pit and Animal Collective manned the guitars, Macklemore and Danny Brown manned the mics, and Bassnectar and Zeds Dead manned the soundboards.
