Little Big Town is back on the road and looking to make a big splash on the country music scene before summer is completely over. The group recruited Tori Kelly to join them on stage for a striped-down performance of the pop star's break through single "Should Have Been Us" during a headlining gig at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles last Thursday night.

Kelly is riding high after an impressive VMA performance of the same song, in which her killer vocal chops stole the spotlight from The Weeknd's pitchy outing.

With just a guitar, Kelly took center stage surrounded by Little Big Town singers Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Roads Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook for a beautiful acoustic version of the song built up by the new four-part harmonies, showcasing the incredible vocal talent on stage.

According to Rolling Stone Country, Little Big Town only had positive things to say about Kelly.

"We're fans of all music, and we heard this girl one night and we were so blown away by her voice, her talent, the finesse," Fairchild said. "I mean, it is so rare and spectacular."

There's a lot to praise as Kelly's album Unbreakable Smile debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her single "Should Have Been Us" reaching No. 52 on the Hot 100.

"Just wait for the Grammy Awards, just wait," Fairchild shouted after the performance.

Little Big Town had to cancel a number of summer tour dates as Westbrook recuperated from vocal surgery, but that didn't stop the band from surging in the charts. The band's 2014 album Pain Killer still had some life in it this summer as the song "Girl Crush" shot to No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, injecting renewed life into the band. Now, they look to continue that success on the road with a new string of tour dates and a full, healthy band.
