With the release of so many successful biopics that allow other people to tell the untold stories of some of your favorite music artists, it was only a matter of time before the artists themselves jumped on board to tell their own stories in their own words. R&B legend Toni Braxton is one that is taking on the leading role and producing her own life story in an upcoming Lifetime film based on her memoir Un-Break My Heart.

Deadline reported that the Grammy Award winning singer has partnered with producer Vondie Curtis Hall to tell her story of her many publicized life struggles that she has faced over the years as a recording artist, a divorcee and mother. The production is set to begin sometime next year and will be titled after her 2014 memoir, which detailed her "financial troubles and divorce while navigating her son\'s autism and family struggles."

This Is RNB reported that the "Unbreak My Heart" singer is set to not only produce the film but will star in the production as herself. No other casting details have been released as of now but her sisters, who co-star alongside Braxton in their reality show, WE TV's The Braxton Family Values, played such an influential role in the start of her career as her backup singers, fans can only hope that cameo appearances will be made by Tamar Braxton, Traci Braxton, Towanda and Trina Braxton.

The reality show has already provided a platform for the "Seven Days" singer to reveal some of her ups and downs. In earlier episodes, she spoke on the divorce between her and ex-husband Keri Lewis, who married in 2001 and later announced their separation in 2009. In 2013, Us Weekly reported that the couple had "an amicable split and will still both be actively involved in raising their two sons, 11-year-old Denim and 10-year-old Diezel."

We also know that Braxton experienced a hiatus in her music career where she later filed bankruptcy and faced many financial woes to where she even considered posing for Playboy to make ends meet. At least this film will allow her tell her story the way she would have it told. Will you be watching?
