U.S. festival goers just got another name to add to their wish list next year. Newly formed Soundslinger LLC announced today the creation of Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, a three day camping music experience in Okeechobee, Florida. The various executives at Soundslinger have helped shape the Bonnaroo Superjams, Outside Lands, STORM Electronic Music Festival in Shanghai and more.

Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival will be situated on an 848-acres of woodlands formerly known as the Sundance Trails. The property will be renamed the Sunshine Grove for the festival. Named after the town of Okeechobee, just north of the associated lake, two and a half hours southeast of Tampa, organizers are looking to have the grounds be one of the main attractions.

"Sunshine Grove is the most naturally beautiful festival site in the country and we're transforming it into a magical new world of music, food, art and creativity," Soundslinger COO/Chief Creative Officer Paul Peck said in a statement via Okeechoeenews.net.

The festival will feature "more than 80 artists, bands and DJs from around the globe performing across five diverse stages."

With the creative mind behind Bonnaroo's superjams on the Soundslinger executive team, Okeechobee hopes to bring that magic down to the backwoods of Florida for some once-in-a-lifetime artist collaborations. There will also be a dusk to dawn stage featuring leading electronic acts according to Tampabay.com.

The Okeechobee joins a crowded spring festival season that is set occur on March 4-6. During that month there is already the Aura Music Festival, the Suwanee Springfest, Ultra Music Festival and Gasparilla Music Festival. Okeechobee will have to show it brings something different to the table to last in Florida.
