Miley Cyrus has kept fairly busy as of late--dropping a surprise album, hosting the MTV Video Music Awards and creating her own Happy Hippie Foundation. Now, the Bangerz singer has gone into the wild to take on her latest endeavor, helping to save the wolves. The pop singer and her brother Braison Cyrus traveled North to British Colombia's Great Bear Rainforest where they teamed up with a local conservation group called Pacific Wild in hopes of stopping the wolf cull.

As CBC News notes, the wolf cull is a legal yearly hunt that allows the "removal" of wolves in an attempt to save endangered caribou and not many activists have stood up to end the act. The Cyrus siblings dedicated Saturday and Sunday to exploring the Great Bear rainforest alongside wold biologists Mary and John Theberge. The "Dooo It!" singer took to Instagram to share a few pictures of her adventure, sharing that she was "changed forever" by the experience.

"On this adventure something was confirmed that us lovers of nature and all that it brings to this planet already know but unfortunately so many don't understand... WE ARE THESE ANIMALS," she wrote. "What separates us from the animals and the land we want to protect is our vocal ability and freedom of speech. It is our responsibility to give the GBR & all the animals it provides a home for a voice!"

According to E! News, Pacific Wild posted a video in which Miley Cyrus made a shocking confession concerning her career, saying: "I can't believe I'm not a biologist and I'm a pop star. That's ridiculous." At the same time, she remains aware that her fame has given her the means to reach out to millions of people. "What I do is really unimportant, but if I didn't do those things then I wouldn't have the voice that I have to be the megaphone for what these amazing people have researched for so long and can teach me," she explained. The 22-year-old twerk master further detailed that she knew the wolf culling was wrong from the beginning but after spending time in the rainforest, it was just as apparent as ever that the culling, as well as trophy hunting, needs to come to an end.
