Sia's new single "Alive" may have originally been intended for Adele's new album 25, but the "Chandelier" singer has now taken it all for her own, and the track has gotten some pretty intense artwork as well as a release date. Just three days ahead of its due date, pop's most elusive singer has teased the release of her new track with some intense artwork for her lead This Is Acting single.

"Alive," which was written for and in the perspective of Adele, will be released on Friday, Sept. 25. Though details about what exactly the song is set to sound like remain tightly under wraps, the song already has a little teaser with its artwork.

On the intense cover, a man is seen, eyes relaxed, wearing a wig that is half blonde, half black and styled in a sleek shoulder-length bob with bangs. A pair of hands, sweetly manicured with white nail polish, grasp his jaw. Meanwhile, Sia's name and the track title are written in a font that incorporates plenty of arrows.

"Alive" is the lead single from Sia's forthcoming album This Is Acting, which is comprised of songs she originally wrote for other people. In an interview with NME, Sia revealed that she plays a variety of characters on her 1000 Forms of Fear follow-up, hence the title. "I'm calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn't go in thinking 'this is something I would say'. It's more like play-acting. It's fun," she said.

The album has yet to receive a release date.
