Earlier this week, actress and singer Selena Gomez was promoting the release of her latest album, Star Dance, but was caught off guard when asked a question about Justin Bieber during an interview. Chicago's WGN Entertainment host Dean Richards decided to turn the promotional interview into a gossip column, which ended poorly for the host: Selena simply cut the interview short.
"Is there something about him that we don't get or we don't understand?" Richards asked the 21-year-old pop star. "I mean there's one story after the other of pretty outrageous things that we are reading about. What don't we get about him? Or what is it that he's not getting out there?"
Gomez, appearing on screen via satellite, seemed to attempt to handle the situation as best she could but ended up smiling at the camera before cutting the feed to WGN. The awkward moment stayed that way as host Richards stood staring blankly at the black screen, seemingly shocked that Gomez didn't like the question about her personal life.

Although a July 4th Instagram post of a photo featuring Gomez and Beiber on the latter's account made the world gasp in anticipation of a reunion, Selena has denied a rekindled relationship. When speaking with Ryan Seacrest during a recent Birthday interview, Gomez revealed that she is not dating Bieber.
"No, I'm not," she replied when asked whether or not she was still with the "As Long As You Love Me" singer. She said that she will "definitely keep it way more private next time," if she were to ever date another high profile celebrity in the future.
