After being together since the former R&B Divas star was 19 years old, Kelly Price has officially filed for divorce from husband/manager Jeffrey Rolles. The R&B singer says she couldn't compromise what true happiness was anymore, and she wasn't happy in her marriage.

It was back in July that the "It's My Time" singer announced that she was planning on divorcing her husband of over 20 years, Jeffrey Rolles. BET reported the singer decided to call it quits after the untimely death of her sister last year. Upon losing someone so close to her, she began to reevaluate the things in life that bring her true happiness, and being married to Rolles wasn't on the list.

In a released statement to Always A-List, she stated, "After the untimely death of my sister last year, it weighed on me heavily that this was something we needed to do." She explained that how she wanted to live the best life that she can live and ultimately just be happy. "I ended things because I didn't want to compromise what true happiness was anymore."

Now, as reported by HipHollywood, the singer has followed through on her announcement and officially filed for divorce. The site shares how the couple have two adult children, a 23-year-old son, Jeffrey Rolle Jr., and 21-year-old daughter, Jonia Rolle. The report states that Price nor Rolles are seeking spousal support, and there is no community property in question to drag out the divorce.  With that in consideration, the terms of the divorce should be pretty easy.

Price and Rolle are both equally successful and have their own projects and businesses that they will continue to work on. Although Rolle will no longer continue in the role of Price's manager, he will continue working with other artists and he also has "a photography business and does art direction for recording artists," according to Always A-List.

The "Friend of Mine" singer will continue her recording artist career and plans to use the divorce as a muse for her "upcoming album Sing, Pray, Love Vol. 2: Pray, which is slated to bow via eOne Nashville in 2016," according to Always A-List. Due to her bad experience with reality TV on TV One's R&B Divas, being featured on another reality show will more than likely not make it on to the list of future projects.
