On Wednesday night (Sept. 30), PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) celebrated its 35th anniversary at a star-studded gala that included a special, one-hour performance from Beatles alum and noted animal rights activist Sir Paul McCartney. As if that wasn't enough for those in attendance, fellow legendary rocker Beck joined McCartney on stage for performances of the classic tracks "Drive My Car" and "I've Just Seen a Face."

McCartney played a lengthy set at #PETA35, including the Beatles classics "Let It Be," "Hey Jude' and his animal rights track "Looking for Changes," a press release states. But, the highlight of his set arrived when Beck took the stage to join him for two songs.

Though full videos of the performances are, unfortunately, yet to be available online, Spin posted a series of snippets of the duo performing. Beck looked purely gleeful playing the upbeat Beatles tracks "I've Just Seen a Face" and "Drive My Car," and the two rockers' voices blended together seamlessly.

The Beck portion of the performance also seemed to be a highlight for Sir Paul, who tweeted out his excitement after the show. He also had a little fun with Beck's name...
