If you like one artist on Facebook, chances are it's Shakira. On Friday night (March 21), the Latina pop star eclipsed her "Can't Remember To Forget You" collaborator Rihanna as the most-liked person on the social media site.

After receiving the news of her 86-plus million Facebook likes, Shakira took to her page (of course) to thank her fans and express her gratitude.

"Wow... I was just told I now have the most-followed page on Facebook in the world! I still cannot believe it," Shakira wrote on her page (via Billboard). "I always wanted to have a lot of friends but never imagined it would be so many... 86m! So humbled, can't thank you guys enough for your support. I feel so fortunate to have you. Giant kiss! Forever thankful, Shak."

She accompanied the post with an intimate selfie and an air kiss.

As of our press time, the Shakira page has 86.7 million likes, eclipsing Rihanna's page, which boasts a meager 86.3 million fans.

Shakira's page largely benefits from the singer's massive international appeal. Her posts are updated in both English and Spanish, for instance. Her page has become more popular recently largely thanks to the hype of her upcoming 10th studio album Shakira, which is due out in stores tomorrow (March 25). Once that album officially drops, her numbers will only continue to rise.
