Kurt Cobain's cover of The Beatles' "And I Love Her" has been floating around the Internet for some time now, following the release of the Brett Morgen documentary Montage of Heck. But now, ahead of the release of the official accompanying album Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings, a fully official version of the acoustic track has been released.

A snippet of "And I Love Her" was included in the film version of Montage of Heck and low quality full audio versions have been floating around the Internet ever since, but there's nothing quite like this official version. Following the release of Nirvana's 2004 box set With the Lights Out, these are the kind of "new" cuts from the band that fans look forward to hearing, and "And I Love Her" delivers.

Moving away from the massive screams that helped launch him to superstardom in Nirvana, Cobain's cover of "And I Love Her" is simple, pretty and quiet (which Nirvana fans also know Cobain could execute beautifully). Against a hollow, simply strummed acoustic guitar melody, Cobain nearly whispers as he sings the tender cut from The Beatles' 1964 A Hard Day's Night cut.

Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings will be released on Nov. 13. The official tracklist was also unveiled this week. In addition to "And I Love Her," The Home Recordings features 31 previously unheard Nirvana demos, solo tracks and noise experiments from Cobain. Other songs on the album include "Something in the Way," "She Only Lies," "Letters to Frances" and "What More Can I Say."
