Apparently, Pharrell has already decided who he is backing in the 2016 election. During a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show, he endorsed Hillary Clinton for president and performed a live rendition of "Freedom."

On Monday (Oct. 12), The Voice judge shared his thoughts on the presidential candidates and put in a good word for Clinton.

"It’s time for a woman to be in there," he said. "Women think about things in a holistic way, it’s not so individual. I’m saying I’m happy to be a man, but I love women. The thing is, if we had somebody looking after our country that thought about things as a whole, I just feel like it just would be different."

He went on to further explain and noted that society's constant sensationalism may have altered perceptions about who should be in the White House next.

"Not that I don’t love our current president, I just feel like it’s Hillary time," he added. "People are like, 'Okay, we need a president that we can play Scrabble and Celebrity with,' but that's not who's gonna solve your problems. You need someone that's gonna take it [seriously]."

Interestingly enough, Kim Kardashian recently stopped by DeGeneres' show and discussed her husband Kanye West's intent to run for president in 2020.

West first broke the news during his acceptance speech at the VMAs this year and it seems as though he’s sticking to his guns. Kardashian admitted that she didn't know her hubby had interest in putting a bid in, but she, as well as many others, has expressed her support for the rapper.

During his speech at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco on Saturday (Oct. 10), President Obama even jokingly shared some advice with his fellow Chicagoan.
