American Idol will be royal no more. After three straight weeks in the bottom three, Majesty Rose, the flower-lovin', guitar totin', PBR&B singer of season 13 was sent packing.

After weeks of reading these recaps and knowing how much I hated the stall-fests that were the hour-long results show, Idol cut its Thursday night program to a cool 30 minutes. Yay!

So, it was straight to business. After showing the Idol contestants eating dinner and reliving the Ryan Seacrest shoe incident from last night, the nine remaining contestants all sat on stools as they awaited to hear whether or not they were safe.

Straight away, Jena Irena and Malaya Watson were sent to the lounge, which made a world of sense. Though the two teens did falter early on during the live shows, they've showed an immense amount of growth. Plus, their performances of Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life" and the Beatles "Long and Winding Road" were two of last night's strongest by far. (And don't just take my word for it, consultant Randy Jackson agreed.)

Before the rest of the results could be called, Idol had to take a trip to Rio with a Janelle Monae performance of the Rio 2 soundtrack song "What Is Love." Featuring dozens of backing dancers, drummers and flags, the high-energy gig was just the sort of thing Majesty dreamed of.

But then, it was right back to business. Alex Preston, Jessica Meuse, Caleb Johnson and Dexter Roberts were all deemed safe, meaning that Majesty, Sam Woolf and CJ Harris were this week's bottom three.

Surprisingly, this year's results have largely been performance based. Sam is this season's default heartthrob, with his big sad eyes and youth, but he's been in the bottom three twice after faltering in his music. Who woulda thunk it?!

As such, it was Majesty's time to sing for the save, as Sam and CJ were sent to the lounge. She knew it, too. Not only because she said so a few times before her attempt at the save, but it was clear from her body language. Three weeks in the bottom will do that to a girl...

For her chance to stay, Majesty tackled Pharrell Williams' "Happy," dancing in the crowd and twirling on stage all the while. It seemed like she literally had no fucks left to give, but she was still going to try (in a way).

But, it wasn't enough, so it's back home for Majesty. But at least fans will see her on tour.
