Lena Dunham is best known for directing insightful episodes of her HBO show Girls, featuring long, personal conversations and a fair share of dysfunctional relationships. Thus, it's logical that for her music video directorial for Bleacher's "I Wanna Get Better," that she would pull from a lot of those influences.

Also, she's dating Bleachers frontman/fun. member Jack Antonoff, so there's that.

Today (March 27), the clip for "I Wanna Get Better" premiered on VEVO and YouTube, and it features a fair share of insights.

The clip begins in a slightly crappy apartment, where Antonoff is getting dumped by his girlfriend before either of them can even have a morning espresso. The emotional toll is obviously heavy, but the day must go on. Antonoff has to go to work as a therapist.

There, he encounters a wide range of odd characters. There's the hyper-sexualized trust fund girl, the crazy/unhappy housewife and a couple with no sense of love for each other anymore (featuring Retta from Parks and Recreation!).

The patients' problems? The lyrics to "I Wanna Get Better." Clever!

As the music video progresses, so does the intensity of Antonoff's patients' problems and anger. The whole thing concludes in a performance in the office, with the people wanting to get better as backup.

"I Wanna Get Better" is the first official single from Antonoff's fun. side project Bleachers. A full-length album is due out this year.
