Lady Gaga, the star of the latest installment of Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series, American Horror Story: Hotel, admitted that she's suffered with depression and anxiety "every single day."

The "You And I" singer recently revealed her personal struggles hoping to reach fans who deal with the same issues and let them know they're not along. "There is something in the way that we are now, with our cell phones and people are not looking at each other and not being in the moment with each other, that kids feel isolated," the 29-year-old pop star told Billboard. "They read all of this extremely hateful language on the Internet. The Internet is a toilet. It is. It used to be a fantastic resource-but you have to sort through sh-t to find the good stuff."

The "Til It Happens to You" singer kicked off her own nonprofit in 2012. Born This Way focuses on struggling teens. The foundation is now zeroing in on finding out why abundant cell phone usage leads to unhappiness. "I've suffered through depression and anxiety my entire life, I still suffer with it every single day," Gaga continued to say. "This modern thing, where everyone is feeling shallow and less connected? That's not human."

This isn't the first time the singer, who's engaged to Chicago P.D.'s Taylor Kinney, detailed her personal problems with depression. She revealed that back at the end of 2014, she hit such a harsh low that she felt it was impossible to find one glimmer of hope.

"I couldn't even feel my own heartbeat. I was angry, cynical, and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go. I just didn't feel like fighting anymore. I didn't feel like standing up for myself one more time - to one more person who lied to me," she told Harper's Bazaar in February of the same year.
