Miley Cyrus took a break from nudity and her pot-smoking antics to appear to appear on The Ellen Degeneres Show with Linda Perry to perform "Hands Of Love," from the new movie Freeheld. It was a gorgeous and moving performance that was deserved of being on national television.

After her experimental psych-pop experimental album, Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, the ultra famous 22-year-old and LGBTQ advocate took the time out of her busy schedule to co-write "Hands Of Love" with former 4 Non Blondes member Perry, who has written for likes of P!nk and Christina Aguilera in the past.

Perry recently told Billboard that Julianne Moore's co-star, Ellen Page, was the one who asked that Cyrus perform the theme for the film. Perry also shared "She just came in so generous and classy. I was shocked."

Perry added, "She is my favorite person out there right now because she is doing it her way."

The magazine also reported that Cyrus only needed three takes to complete the track. The song was completed and released about two weeks after Perry viewed the film.

Entertainment Weekly reported on Julianne Moore's recent Ellen appearance to talk about the movie, which portrays a same-sex couple fighting for equal rights. In the past, she expressed to the magazine that she doesn't want it to be labeled as a "gay movie," because that was not the intention behind the film at all.

Moore told Degeneres that she believes Laurel Hester to be a hero because she simply asked for equality and for her partner to be given spousal benefits when she fell ill. The film's star and the show's host also talked about the importance of the film for her co-star Page, who publicly came out last year.
