This coming Tuesday, April 1st, Vince Gill will be headlining the 16th annual Jammin' to Beat the Blues benefit concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Joined by Ashley Monroe and Charlie Worsham, his own talented daughter Jenny Gill, Holly Williams and the band Striking Matches, Vince will be helping raise awareness about mental health issues.

Since 1999, Jammin’ to Beat the Blues has increased community awareness of mental health issues and helped foster a better understanding of mental illness. Proceeds from theeh event will go to Mental Health America of Middle Tennessee, an organization that provides mental health education, advocacy and service in the Middle Tennessee area.

Tickets start at $35 each and go up to $55.

According, to the National Institute of Mental Health, mental disorders are common in the United States and internationally. An estimated 26.2 percent of Americans ages 18 and older — about one in four adults — suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year.1 When applied to the 2004 U.S. Census residential population estimate for ages 18 and older, this figure translates to 57.7 million people.
