Gossip runs rampant in the music industry and Gwen Stefani has been the subject of some it it recently. The singer has addressed the rumors that she is dating her The Voice co-star, Blake Shelton. It's been a tough year for both Stefani and Shelton, as they each went through divorces -- Shelton from fellow country singer Miranda Lambert and Stefani from Gavin Rossdale, lead singer for Bush -- but the two are killing it on airings of Season 9 of NBC's The Voice.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Stefani expressed how music has helped her get through the hardships of this year, as she and husband ended their 13 year marriage in August, citing that the decision "was mutual," as reports The Daily Mail. The two share three children, 9-year old Kingston, six-year old Zuma and toddler Apollo.

"The biggest gift has been to be able to take some tragedy and write a song about it and share that," Stefani told EW, "The rewards that I've gotten through that is just unbelievable." The singer wrote an entire album in only eight weeks and debuted her new song "Used to Love You," at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City this past Saturday (Oct. 17). It was an uber exclusive show and only select MasterCard customers were able to attend the performance.

Stefani further said to EW, "It seems like the cowboy is really happy on the show. We're all having so much fun on that show. Everyone is in such a good place."

As for the dating rumors, Stefani simply said, "Have you read the news?" which was a simple yet effective way to debunk the myth that the two are anything more than friends. A source additionally also told People Magazine earlier in the month, "It's total bullsh*t. There's nothing there. They're nothing more than friends." While the two may only be friends, it's doubtful that the singer addressing it will completely stop the rumors.
