Brooklyn-based producer, singer and songwriter Jean-Philip Grobler, better known as St. Lucia has unveiled his first single in over a year "Dancing On Glass." The track is taken from the "Elevate" artist's new album, which he just announced.

The new single was co-written with Tim Pagnotta. It captures the nostalgic, sugary 1908's synth pop that fans have come to love from St. Lucia. The songwriting has only getting better from St. Lucia with his infectious hooks with its rising synths and vocal choruses that are beyond catchy.

"How long 'til we learn / Dancing is dangerous / How long 'til we find / The devil inside of us / How high is too low / We're not that young / So we're never gonna stop," says St. Lucia in his signature reverbed vocal treatment.

"Dancing On Glass" was first premiered yesterday by Zane Lowe on Beats 1. He also talked about the upcoming album, which does not have a release date yet, but The Bleachers Jack Antonoff co-wrote one of the songs. According to St. Lucia, that song will see the light of day soon.

This is first bit of original music from St. Lucia since his 2013 album When The Night, which had a few more songs added on for a deluxe package in 2014. He has been remixing other artists since then like Charli XCX and Joywave, but now we are starting to just get a glimpse of what Grobler has been working on.
