Slipknot's frontman Corey Taylor has never been one to hold back his anger, but it came to a head when he sucker-punched WWE wrestler Baron Corbin this past Friday (October 23). The two came to blows at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, California. Taylor is also reportedly a huge wrestling fan and had been engaging in nasty exchanges with the wrestler for some time.

According to NME, Taylor was watching in the crowd during the Aftershock Festival for Corbin's competition against another wrestler whose performance handle is Samoa Joe. The two apparently began to engage in a verbal battle that soon turned physical. Taylor then took the stage and punched Corbin in the face, which led Samoa Joe to a win. It remains to be seen whether the altercation was staged for media attention or not.

Billboard reported that WWE tweeted shortly after the incident, "@BaronCorbinWWE was surprised when @CoreyTaylorRock kept his word at #NXTAftershock but definitely not intimidated.

WWE further tweeted, "The battle between @BaronCorbinWWE & @CoreyTaylorRock finally got physical at #NXTAftershock!"

And finally, "@SamoaJoe thanks @CoreyTaylorRock for his help in defeating @BaronCorbinWWE at #NXTAftershock!"

NME further reported that the scandal has not been Taylor's only venture as of late. The rock screamer was also featured in what is reportedly his favorite TV show Doctor Who. He lent his vocal talents to be the voice of The Fisher King in the television special.

His band Slipknot has also been busy and just released a brand new music video for their track "XIX." The video was directed by Shawn Crahan and showcases two women driving through the woods and grabbing a casket as they pull off their clothing and deliver it into the water, which is appropriately creepy for the infamously violent band.
