The pair's ill-fated marriage lasted a mere 14 months, and there's clearly still some bad blood between Katy Perry and ex-husband Russell Brand. The two have used the press to take shots at each other in the past, and now the British comedian has directly dissed the pop star in the trailer for his new documentary Brand: A Second Coming.

Based on the documentary trailer, it seems that Brand was doubtful about their odds of success as a couple from the very beginning. He asserts that his involvement with Comic Relief and a subsequent visit to Africa drastically changed his values and lead him to further question the marriage.

The documentary Brand: A Second Coming was shot during their marriage, according to The Daily Mail, and in it he claims that "The stuff in Africa hit me really hard."

He is even captured poking fun at Perry in stand-up skit and admitted "It's definitely good I'm with someone that I love. But it's not a resolution to anything spiritual," to his friend Stephen Merchant.

He further claims in the documentary that, "I'm associated with the very thing that I detest: vapid, vacuous, plastic, constructed, mindless celebrity. That's the very sea we're swimming in, 'Oh, who's he? ... He's married to Katy Perry'." Further, according to The Daily Mail, another friend of Brand, Noel Gallagher, said he believed that the two were heading towards a divorce.

According to Grazia magazine, Perry is devastated over Brand's comments in the trailer and has been hurt once again by her former love. Perry has asserted in the past that the comic callously dumped her via text message in the middle of her Teenage Dream Tour on New Year's Eve of 2011. Then again, this is a celebrity who has compared himself to Jesus, titled the upcoming documentary to reflect that and is an admitted sex addict.
