Fetty Wap is closing out October with a bang. On his new song "In My Ways" he toasts to the good life and brags about his bad habits over the club ready beat produced by Peoples and Shy. Released via his official Soundcloud, it's his first solo release since his debut album Fetty Wap dropped late last month and follows this week's release of Coke Zoo, his joint mixtape with French Montana.
"I am so stuck in my ways baby, I ain't giving it up," he sings on the hook before firing into a high energy verse where he crowns himself the "Zoo God," shouts out his crew and talks about how much life has changed since "Trap Queen" made him a star. "Always front flip, never backwards / All this money that we getting, baptized in my kitchen."
While it's our first time hearing Fetty Wap go it alone in a while, he's been pretty generous all month hopping on features. In addition to today's "Bang My Head" remix with David Guetta and Sia, he jumped on PnB Rock's new single "Jealous" also released this week via Soundcloud. The dark banger produced by iBeats features a signature hook from Fetty while PnB holds down the verses. "What you prove when you making em all jealous / I'm a smooth young n*gga, Balmains and Margelias." He can also be heard singing the hook on Yung Ralph's "Act a Fool," also released this week.
It seems there's no escaping Fetty Wap this month, with his music and influence being literally everywhere. In addition to live covers from Jason Derulo and Jojo, Demi Lovato donned a "Trap Queen" inspired Halloween costume during an episode of Girl Code Live, and he even got an Saturday Night Live shout out earlier this month during a Bernie Saunders bit.
