R&B Soul singer Chrisette Michele has announced her engagement to producer Doug Ellison. In an Instagram post the couple shared the message, "when you know...you know."

The former cast member of R&B Divas: LA has written and performed many songs about love and love lost, but now she's singing a different tune. According to Black America Web, the soul artist is now engaged to a man that she once sued for breach of contract.

Captioned with a photo that shows the engagement rings, Michele's fiance wrote, "she said yes."

According to YBF, Ellison proposed in the traditional way. The site reported that he first asked her father for her hand in marriage. After he agreed, Ellison arranged a roof top proposal at the New York City studio "Jungle City," where he got down on one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" Her response, of course, was "Yes!"

On her own Instagram account, the singer posted this endearing message and titled herself "the soon to be Chrisette Michele Ellison."
