Just a few days ago, the Foo Fighters took to their official page to stump fans around the world with a mysterious, unexplained clock, counting down to a seemingly important date of Nov. 23. Fans have been racking their brains trying to figure out what the countdown could possibly lead to--Dave Grohl's cast removal or Sonic Highways 2 perhaps? Now, in addition to showcasing the band's logo inside a crest, the group added new clues to the site.

Trailing the original countdown reveal, ambient music has been added to the site, paired with background visuals of trees in a suburban area. Foo Fighters Live, a die-hard Twitter fan page, figured out that the track's ID tag reads "2nd Century AD" even though it remains uncertain what it could mean. The crest has since been compared with the Route 66 sign, alluding that season 2 of the wildly successful Sonic Highways could potentially be on its way. Other groups of fans think it may have something to do with front man Dave Grohl finally removing the cast from his leg, although it happened to be the star of their recently concluded tour.

The HBO documentary series, Sonic Highways, which followed Grohl and company on the road as they recorded their eighth studio album in eight different American cities, took home two Emmy Awards earlier in the year. Grohl previously revealed that a second series of Sonic Highway's would be on the way.

Talking to NME, the "Everlong" singer said the second installment "might or might not be international... It might only be in England. It might be in England and other places."

The producer of the Foo's most recent studio album, Butch Vig, told Billboard's Alt in Our Stars podcast that next summer could potentially mark the follow-up to the Foo Fighters album and documentary series. "I think there is going to be a Sonic Highways II," Vig said. "But it's still in discussions right now. I know Dave and HBO both really want to do it, but it's going to be different. It's not going to be the same exact format as the last album... if it happens, it'll probably happen next summer."

After stumbling across a video of over 1,000 Italian fans performing "Learn to Fly" simultaneously, the group recently confirmed their Cesena gig, ready to perform for the patiently awaiting fans.
