30 Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto has shared a photo of himself singing into a studio mic with the hashtag #MarsIsComing, hinting that the band may be releasing a new album sooner than you'd expected. The new album would serve as the follow-up to 2013's celebrated Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams.

The photo appeared on Leto's Instagram account earlier today, causing the internet to erupt with speculation. This wasn't the band's only recent news. Last week, the band announced that their three-day Camp Mars event, where fans can participate in activities including "hiking, climbing, yoga, cooking classes, raising the flag and camp fire sing-a-longs," would return in 2016.

Leto, the band's frontman and renowned actor, has been quite busy as of late, though he hasn't been making new music. Instead, he has been filming for his role as The Joker in DC Comics' upcoming film, Suicide Squad.

According to Entertainment Weekly, he fully immersed himself in the role. The actor's co-star Will Smith said that he never met the "real" Jared Leto. "I've never actually met Jared Leto," he said. "We worked together for six months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' He was all in on the Joker."

30 Seconds to Mars' last album Love, Lust, Faith, and Dreams was released in 2013.
